* UNDYING LOVE *
- VII -
- It's full of people in the streets, it's crazy! Chung said, laughing.
- It's Valentine's Day. This damned occidental holiday. It's pathetic, said Sami.
- Not because you find it pathetic, that all people must think the same way, said Chung.
Sami raised his eyes and sighed.
- So, as you seem to love this holiday, you think to do something with Zi? he asked with a look petty.
- Sami, I've just arrived you start already to make me sweat, Chung said, coldly.
Sami sighed again.
- So you've seen your devil, pass in front your shop? It's maybe your lucky day ... if it's not for love, you might try to fuck her! Sami said, smiling. Or I could try, one or the other, she will not make the difference, added he, laughing more.
- Sami, I do not know what keeps me give you a punch in your face, said Chung angry.
- Calm down, just kidding. So your devil has received your letter? Sami asked.
- Stop to calling her like that, shouted Chung. And who told you about this letter? he asked, surprised.
- It is your sister. If you do not want that she talk about, you would have had give her without saying it. So she has received your letter or not? Sami asked again.
- Yes. She said, she could not share my feelings. But the most strange, she wrote me that my brother had been see her at the bookstore to tell her not to try anything with me, and he had presented her, an Irishman. My brother is in California since one month, "said Chung, sadly.
- Oh! It's maybe a polite way to tell you, that she is not interested. Sami said.
- Maybe ... But how did she know the existence of Zi, she talked about, in her letter. asked Chung.
- I do not know. Mai, may have sent one of his friends and asked him to pass for your brother. You know, she is ready for anything. Sami said.
"And if it was true, if Sami was right, " he said to himself. "But I will not forget. Everything was there. My words. The emotion in my body. My confession. And I want her. I want her so badly that I had not slept all night."
- I would have liked she to come see me, talk to me. But I suppose that we should not tempt fate.
Sami cursed this brightness too much bright in his eyes. He clearly saw the disappointment on his face, but did not let it show.
He stared into the void, then a smile appeared on his lips gently.
- It's a good girl. Chung whispered, without looking him.
- You don't know, said Sami. Everyone can make mistakes.
Chung had a sad smile. He was feeling ill. So badly because of what he felt.
- I must return to the store, says Chung.
- Ok, said Sami.
He left without saying a word.
He returned to the shop. He should not to think, because her senses were calling his own.
He stopped suddenly, she was there in front of him. She was leaving the restaurant, accompanied by the Irishman. As if she sensed that someone was watching her, she turned around and glanced at Chung, in front of the Irishman unhappy.
They separated, and she went his way, alone. She walked beside him, she did not look at him, as if she was uncomfortable. She looked up and looked at him. Her eyes kept him from uttering a single word. As if his eyes, would like tell her that she passed beside something without him.
He wanted that she to be haunted by that moment. He just wanted to make her understand that he loved her, even if he had no right.
Too many questions in her eyes. Not enough answers in his mouth.
Her eyes burned him literally.
There was this misunderstanding, inability to grasp what was happening between them, what happened in their heads.
Her gaze gave to him, a myriad of emotions that made up the pace of his heart.
He breathed a sigh annoyed and he went back and he continued his way to his shop.
He feels guilty. Every day a little more. He nodded his head before walking away quickly.
****
He had emptied his head, so much so that his soul seemed empty of all feelings. Except when he saw her. His love for her, jumps at his throat.
The days passed, he was like a puppet that was equipped with batteries so that he moves and which merely act automatically.
He went to his shop, he saw his friends, his sister as if everything was normal and logical. As he did it before. Everyone was its life, all had resumed the normal course of his existence.
His own life had stopped when he had consciously put his eyes on her.
He felt that someone had pressed the button that had ended his life since.
He thought about her, almost all the time without really thinking. He saw her without really see her. He saw her face implanted in his memory. Since the day he had met her on the street, he had thought of nothing except his love for her, which hurt him more intensely every day.
He left to take the air in front of his shop. He looked up and he saw her pass on the other side of the street. Wanting to hide her emotion, he went into his shop.
He sat on the bench behind the counter, head down and took a deep breath, heavy heart, the stomach contracted.
He started by crossing her eyes, her cheeks red, as she had his hand on the handle of the door of his shop, she hesitated and she turned away.
to utter a word, or go out to try to catch her.
"Did she felt my distress and my helplessness? Love and Passion. The first inaccessible to me, and the second forbidden." he said to himself.
He seemed to be broken in two.
He did not really know what to think of them exchanged glances, as if that was bad, very bad.
